The J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences is strongly committed to the study of international relations. The B.A. degree program in International Relations offers students preparation for careers in today’s globalized society and economy, as well as a strong foundation for more advanced study. The degree offers a broad interdisciplinary course of study with a strong intercultural and international focus.

This program draws on relevant disciplines such as economics, political science, and history to provide students with a solid background in international relations as well as intensive study of major global trends and issues. An introductory course and a capstone senior seminar for International Relations majors frame the overall curriculum. Students also study a major region of the world through choosing a concentration in one of the five area studies programs in Fulbright College: Asian, European, Latin American, Middle East, or Russian. Intensive language study and study abroad are especially encouraged in this program.
