Guidelines for Multistate Research Activities

Request to join an on-going multistate research project must originate with the administrator of the proposed member's institution; in the case of a State Agricultural Experiment Station (SAES), that would be the director (currently, for Arkansas, Dr. Cochran). This correspondence must include the information required in Appendix E.

Upon approval by the Station's Director, the request is forwarded to the Administrative Adviser(AA) who will consult with the technical committee to arrange for implementation. The AA working with the ED's office of the sponsoring regional association and CSREES will arrange for finalizing the necessary documentation.

PLEASE NOTE: The Appendix E must be submitted electronically via the National Information Support System (NIMSS).

AES researchers wishing to request participation in a multistate research project may directly enter the information on-line, or request assistance from your departmental CRIS representative or Laura Street in the AES Business office. If you or someone in your department enters the information directly, contact Laura Street or Sandi Caster to advise that the Appendix E is now ready to be approved at the station level.
