PROJECT OUTLINE IS NOT REQUIRED
FOR MULTISTATE OR GRANT PROJECTS

MULTISTATE (Regional) : When establishing a CRIS project to document official participation on a multi-state (regional) project, the outline has already been developed by the multi-state project committee and approved by USDA/CSREES. Only CRIS forms AD-416, AD-417, and CSREES-2008 need to be processed (on-line). When processing the AD-416 for the Arkansas participant, please note that the title and objectives must be exactly the same as those indicated in the outline of the multi-state project, but include only the objective(s) on which our station will conduct research.

Note: Requests to join an on-going regional project must originate with the AES Administrator. The Arkansas PI should complete "Appendix E" and forward to the AES CRIS officer for processing. CRIS forms should not be processed until the PI's official participation is confirmed by the regional project's Adminstrative Advisor (AA) and by CSREES.

GRANTS: When establishing a CRIS project to document research being conducted under a grant awarded by a USDA funding agency (generally CSREES), only CRIS forms AD-416 and AD-417 need to be processed (on-line). Hard copy of CSREES Form 2008 (assurance form) with signatures is routinely required to be submitted directly to the funding agency. No outline is required (as that is documented via the grant proposal).
