NON-THESIS OPTION REQUIREMENTS

Non-thesis option candidates must complete 24 credit hours of course and seminar work, including Economics of Agricultural Policy, Agricultural Law Colloquium, and Research Seminar in Agricultural Law I and II. Non-thesis option students are required to prepare a research paper on a current agricultural law topic as part of their work in Research Seminar I and II. These papers typically will be 8,000 to 10,000 words in length (excluding endnotes) and are expected to be of publishable quality.

Non-thesis option students must complete all degree requirements within four calendar years of first enrollment in courses taken for credit toward the LL.M. degree. This rule applies to all students including J.D. students admitted under the "nine-hour rule," and non-degree students who later qualify for candidacy for the LL.M. degree.
