Transfer and International Students

Persons who have attended other accredited programs in architecture or landscape architecture should apply to the Associate Dean's office in the School of Architecture enclosing a transcript of work completed and arrange an interview. Studio placement of transfer students will be made only after completion of a personal interview. To become eligible for advanced design studio placement, a transfer student must present a 3.00 grade-point average in all design studio work from another accredited program of architecture or landscape architecture. Exemptions from any curriculum requirement, as well as the transfer of professional course work, will be considered by the appropriate faculty upon examination of a portfolio and/or other pertinent materials. Consult the Associate Dean's office regarding submittal requirements. School policy requires that, as a minimum, the last two years of Design Studio be completed at this School of Architecture.

International students must present a TOEFL score of 550 to become eligible for acceptance into the School. Lack of knowledge or misinterpretation of policies and/or regulations on the part of individual students will not be considered a valid reason for failure to fulfill requirements. Ultimate responsibility for completion of entrance requirements rests with each student.
