READING (RDNG)

Courses in reading are offered at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. A basic course, RDNG 0003, is available to freshmen who are seeking assistance in improving their study skill. Emergent and Developmental Literacy, CIED 3113, is a required course in the professional sequence for elementary teachers and a recommended elective for those preparing for teaching in middle and secondary schools.

Courses at the graduate level are designed for experienced teachers who have the goal of improving professional competence in reading and of qualifying for the Arkansas certificate as a K-12 Reading Specialist.

Graduate standing is prerequisite to the following courses:
