GROWTH HABIT and RATE:
Upright and arching, rapid grower, frequently pruned, densely foliaged.

 ADAPTABILITY:
Adaptable to most conditions, salt tolerant.  Prefers full sun, will grow in shade.  Tolerates air pollution.

FUNCTIONS:
Hedge, border, screen, foundation planting, good for highway use. Place where fragrance can be appreciated in the fall.

PROBLEMS AND MAINTENANCE:
Long shoot extensions will require pruning. Thorns may present a siting problem. Few diseases or pests.
