Spreading Euonymus

Flowers: Inconspicuous, pale green flowers, opening in mid to late summer, continuing through fall. Attractive to bees.

Foliage: Shiny, dark green leaves; midwinter foliage looks burned in colder zones.

Fruit: Creamy pink, opening to expose a red aril, ripening in fall. Early freezes diminish fruiting..

 

Location: Common on campus; two large plants on the south side of Agriculture flank the door.
