GROWTH HABIT and RATE:
Dense oval to rounded shrub, fast growing.

ADAPTABILITY:
Full sun to shade, not particular to soil.

FUNCTIONS:
Hedge, border, specimen.

PROBLEMS AND MAINTENANCE:
Euonymus scale will require a spray program. Can be killed back in cold winter, but rapidly grows back.

Southern Japan

SUBSPECIES, VARIETIES, CULTIVARS:
'Manhattan'- perhaps a hybrid with E. fortunei, rounded evergreen mound, very common on U. of A. campus.
