GROWTH HABIT and RATE:
Fast growing on juvenile shoots, slow on adult plants. Low evergreen groundcover,
or high climbing vine rooting by aerial rootlets (holdfasts).
ADAPTABILITY:
Tolerates acid or alkaline soils, full sun or heavy shade. Salt tolerant.
FUNCTIONS:
Groundcover, wall cover.
PROBLEMS AND MAINTENANCE:
Spider mites in dry areas, leaf spotting. In some cases may need pruning to
keep in bounds. May require some protection from winter wind and sun. This species
is invasive in woods in the Pacific Northwest.

Zones 5-9 (cultivar dependent)
SUBSPECIES, VARIETIES, CULTIVARS:
