GROWTH HABIT, RATE:
Narrow conical habit to 25 feet. Fast growing.

ADAPTABILITY:
Well-drained, moist soil, acidic pH.

FUNCTIONS:
Specimen, massing.

PROBLEMS AND MAINTENANCE:
Susceptible to two-lined spittlebug. Chlorosis is an occasional problem; the leaves become light green.

SUBSPECIES, VARIETIES, CULTIVARS:
'Savannah'-popular in the southeast, produces large red berries.
From the original cross, five clones were selected. Of these #2 and #3 are most popular; #4 is a male clone.
