GROWTH HABIT, RATE:
Stoloniferous low-growing shrub, spreads by underground stems.
ADAPTABILITY:
Moist, well-drained soil, high in organic material. Requires shade.
FUNCTIONS:
Massing, evergreen ground cover where some height is required. The variety
humilis is smaller and more cold-hardy than the species. Site where fragrance
can be appreciated in winter.
