Flowers: Light blue, larger than V. minor, in late March, early April.
Foliage: Lustrous, leathery, medium green and evergreen (in Zone 7 south).
Fruit: Capsule, not ornamental.
Location: There is a planting of the variegated form south of the Law School, next to the sidewalk and across the street from the University Museum. There is a planting of the species on Leverett St., along the retaining wall next to the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
