Platycladus orientalis (L.f.) Franco.
 
Oriental Arbor-vitae

Flowers: Monoecious, not significant, in spring.

Foliage: Scale-like foliage, bright yellow-green or green, darker green when older. Discolors in northern winters.

Fruit: Egg shaped cones, wingless seeds separate it from Thuja.

 

Location: At the northwest corner of the Agriculture building.
