Flowers: orange to red trumpet-like flowers in late April, early May, some
cultivars rebloom in summer.
Flowers are fragrant (in some cultivars).
Foliage: Evergreen, trifoliate (one leaf modified to be a tendril), light green on new growth maturing to dark green, becomes reddish in winter.
Fruit: capsule, insignificant.
Location: Horticulture Research Farm, ornamental planting.
