Flowers: Yellow with strap-like petals, from old wood in October or November. Fragrant.

Foliage: Attractive, medium-green leaves, clear yellow fall color.

Fruit: Dehiscent capsule that eject seeds explosively; ripen one year after flowering.

Location: Horticultural Research Farm, ornamental planting.
