Oakleaf Hydrangea

Flowers: White elongate clusters, fading to pink with age, effective from May into early July.

Foliage: Coarse, oak-shaped leaves, excellent red-burgundy-purple fall color.

Fruit: Capsule, not ornamental.

Trunk, Branches, Twigs: Bark exfoliates on twigs and branches, light brown in color.

 

Location: At the northwest corner of the Plant Sciences building.
