GROWTH HABIT, RATE:
A large, upright and eventually arching fountain of green, fast growing. Medium
to coarse texture. Normally pruned so loses desirable natural shape.
ADAPTABILITY:
Prefers full sun, well-drained soils, some drought tolerance.
FUNCTIONS:
Shrub border, specimen, requires a good deal of room for full development.
PROBLEMS AND MAINTENANCE:
Few serious problems. Judicious pruning to remove old, dead growth. Should be
maintained in its natural form for best appearance.
