GROWTH HABIT, RATE:
Loose, upright mass, often leggy at base, to 10 feet in height.
ADAPTABILITY:
Best in full sun, will adapt to part shade. Needs moist, well-drained site.
FUNCTIONS:
Shrub border, massing. Plant is effective for two weeks each year then "disappears."
PROBLEMS AND MAINTENANCE:
Selective pruning required to maintain vigor, to remove dead wood. Prune after
flowering.
