Flowers: A ring of white sterile flowers surrounds the fertile flowers; a flattened cluster in mid April. In forma plicatum all sterile flowers in globular clusters. Some cultivars have been selected to flower throughout the summer.
Foliage: Medium to dark green, prominent veins, turning dull red in fall.
Fruit: Red berries ripen to blue black in late June. One of the first Viburnums to ripen.
Trunk, Branching, Twigs: Strong horizontal branching, attractive tiered appearance.
Location: As part of the foundation planting on the east side of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. There is also a plant of a everblooming cultivar in front of the Plant Sciences building (east side).
