Flowers: White flowers in flattened clusters in mid April.

Foliage: Medium to dark green, leathery, changing to scarlet/purple in the fall.

Fruit: Green, ripening through pink to black, September into the fall, edible.

 

Location: On the west side of the Plant Sciences building, next to V. rufidulum.
