Flowers: White, in rounded clusters in May.
Foliage: Corrugated, medium green, coarse texture; green pepper smell when crushed.
Fruit: Red, ripening to black; the stalks bearing the fruit are red and also attractive.

Location: South end of the Viburnum row at the Horticulture Research Farm.
