Chinese Wisteria

Flowers: Long, pendulous racemes of fragrant, blue-violet flowers in April.

Foliage: Pinnately compound bright green leaves, late to leaf out in spring.

Fruit: Long pod.

Trunk, Branching, Twigs: Old specimens develop thick, attractive trunks.

 

Location: On the west side of the courtyard located at the west side of the Fine Arts building. A better specimen is located at the Ozark Mountain Smokehouse on Dickson St.
