GROWTH HABIT, RATE:
Multi-stemmed large shrub or small tree, rounded outline, fast grower.
ADAPTABILITY:
Adaptable to a wide range of soils, does best in moist, well-drained soils,
full sun or shade.
FUNCTIONS:
Patio shade tree, specimen, screen, grouping.
PROBLEMS AND MAINTENANCE:
Can be damaged by ice storms, requiring pruning or removal. Verticillium wilt.
Considered invasive in the upper Midwest.
