Red Buckeye

Flowers: Red tubular flowers on terminal infloresences in April.

Foliage: Palmately compound, lustrous dark green foliage; occasional yellow/red fall color. Leaves fall early.

Fruit: Flat, smooth capsule containing seeds, ripening in Sept./Oct.

 

Location: Two trees on the west side of Kimpel Hall.
