Tree-of-Heaven

Flowers: Dioecious, yellowish-green in panicles in early summer; male flowers stink.

Foliage: Pinnately compound, very large coarse leaves, tropical appearing, no fall color.

Fruit: On female plants, dull yellow to bright red samaras. Can be attractive.

 

Location: Next to the railroad bridge on Lafayette Ave., near the back of Magnolia Company.
