Flowers: Monoecious, male flowers are slender brown catkins in late winter/early spring. Not significant.
Foliage: Medium green foliage turning yellow in the fall.
Fruit: Insignificant.
Trunk, Branching, Twigs: Reddish tan bark exfoliates in papery strips.
Location: On the east and north sides of the Plant Sciences building.
