Paper Mulberry

Flowers: Dioecious, female flowers a small round ball, male a catkin; spring.

Foliage: Medium gray-green foliage often lobed like a mitten (similar to Morus).

Fruit: Like a Osage-orange, red.

Trunk, Branching, Twigs: Gray to brown bark, ridged on older specimens.

 

Location: On the north side of Parking Lot 36.
