GROWTH HABIT, RATE:
Straight trunk, oblong crown with ascending then descending branches.
ADAPTABILITY:
Prefers, moist, well-drained soil, but is adaptable to soil type.
FUNCTIONS:
Shade tree, nut production, smoking esculent cuts of meat.
PROBLEMS AND MAINTENANCE:
Litter problem in fall, with nuts and leaves all falling at once. Difficult
