White Ash

Flowers: Inconspicuous, dioecious, in early spring.

Foliage: Pinnately compound leaves, dark green above, pale below, yellow to deep purple fall color.

Fruit: Samara, not ornamental.

 

Location: On the east side of the Graduate Education building. Also the very large trees on the Old Main mall are White Ash.
