Flowers: Catkins in early spring, insignificant.
Foliage: Shiny, bright green leaves; occasional yellow fall color.
Fruit: On female plants only, seeds are a trash problem as they have a tuft of white cottony hairs.
Location: Near the northwest corner of Mullins Library.
