GROWTH HABIT, RATE:
Very fast growing, open irregular to vase-shaped crown.
ADAPTABILITY:
Does best in moist soils high in organic material, in full sun. pH adaptable
and salt tolerant.
FUNCTIONS:
Shade tree.
PROBLEMS AND MAINTENANCE:
Seeds from female plants are a litter problem, also both sexes are weak wooded
and break up in storms. Canker can quickly kill this tree.

Eastern United States and adjacent Canada, Arkansas native plant
