Western Soapberry

Flowers: Greenish-white, in loose panicles, in May, not fragrant.

Foliage: Medium green pinnately compound leaves, yellow fall color.

Fruit: Orange berries, turning black.

Trunk, Branching, Twigs: Scaly bark with reddish inner bark.

 

Location: In the lawn area south of the Adminstration Building, close to the sidewalk to the Broyles Complex.
