Each student enrolled in PHIL 2003 C must enroll also in a section of PHIL 2003 D. These are discussion sections, on Thursdays or Fridays, designed to complement the lectures in PHIL 2003 C on Mondays and Wednesdays.

The discussion sections are led by the course TAs: Aleks Zarnitsyn & Matthew Pianalto

The discussion sections may include the following:

• Discussion
• Opportunities to ask questions on the material
• Further explanation of the lectures
• Further explanation of the readings
• Philosophical material not covered in the lectures
• Quizzes
• Other in-class work

Students who regularly have attended the drill sections have reported that they found them very helpful in understanding the course material.

Since the drill sections are led by people other than the primary instructor, the student gets the benefit of diverse viewpoints on the philosophical material.
