Student organizations continue to register throughout the year. Therefore, this publication may not include all the organizations that are registered or active on our campus. Please keep in mind that student officers and advisors of student organizations also change throughout the year. This listing is periodically updated in an effort to include accurate information on as many clubs as possible.

Types of Registered Student Organizations
GOVERNING – An organization whose primary purpose is to serve as a governing body for a large or specific constituency of students.
GREEK – An organization with Greek letters who is a member of the National Interfraternity Council, the National Panhellenic Council, or the National Pan-hellenic Council (NPHC).
HONORARY/SERVICE – An organization that requires a minimum grade point average as a prerequisite to membership and/or is affiliated with a national organization or profession.
INTERNATIONAL/CULTURAL – An organization whose primary purpose is to provide a forum in which participants create an awareness for a specific culture through educational, social and recreational activities.
PROFESSIONAL – An organization whose primary purpose is to provide a forum for participants to discuss and develop professional careers.
RELIGIOUS – An organization whose primary purpose is to provide information and activities associated with one or more religions.
SPECIAL INTEREST – An organization whose primary purpose is to provide an organized format for the practice and/or pursuit of a special or common interest.

Alpha Phi Omega - Beta Rho Honorary/Service We are a service organization that actively participate in the campus and community. We help with whoever asks for it. Alone all, we are college students that are volunteers on the side that are trying to make a difference without trying to reinvent the wheel.

Alpha Tau Alpha Honorary/Service To promote the high ideals and standards as set up by the national body; to increase the personal acquaintance and friendship among students interested in agricultural and extension education; to develop a high professional attitudes toward the teaching of agriculture.
Alpha Zeta Honorary/Service The purpose of the fraternity of Alpha Zeta is to bind us together a group of men and women interested in the continued advancement of agriculture and to foster and develop high standards of scholarship, character, leadership and a spirit of fellowship among all it's members.
Amateur Radio Club Special Interest Organization and operation of emergency communications. Maintenance and operation of a licensed amateur radio station. Participation in special contest and field events pertaining to amateur radio. Awarding certificates of achievement for meritorious activity in amateur radio. Training of interested persons in radiotelegraph and radiotelephone communications. Participation in any activity in which amateur radio can benefit the public and the university community.
American Association of Petroleum Geologist Professional To advance the science of geology, especially as it relates to petroleum, Natural gas, and other energy resources. The student chapter provides a means of contact with the geologic profession.
American Chemical Society Special Interest To bring together students of chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, and anyone at all who has an interest in the chemical sciences for the benefit of the chapter, the University of Arkansas, and the greater community as a whole.
American Fisheries Society Student Subchapter Professional To help the professional development of fisheries and ecology based students. Help students meet future employers and become more comfortable in giving presentation to peers. Also to keep students abreast of what is going on in their field of interest both locally and nationally.

Amnesty International University of Arkansas Special Interest The release of prisoners of conscience, those people detained because of their beliefs, race, sex, ethnic origin, language, of religion, who have neither used nor advocated violence; fair and prompt trials for all political prisoners, and an end to execution in all cases
Animal Science Graduate Student Association Professional To provide a forum for participants to discuss and develop professional careers in agriculture.
Arab Student Association International/Cultural To promote Arabic heritage and culture. We seek to increase the general public awareness about Arabs to provide a better understanding of Arabic culture and ethnicity. We hope to counter negative stereotypes and to erase misconceptions about the Arab people. Moreover, one of our goals is to serve as a venue for positive/constructive interaction between members of the university and community in an effort to fulfill our purposes as described above.

Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences Professional The purpose is to promote and implement initiatives which foster inclusion and advancement of members of ethnic/cultural groups under-represented in agricultural and natural sciences and related fields in all phases of career preparation and participation in these areas.
