AGED 520V.002 (3 hrs)
Special Topics: Computer-based CDEs
Instructor: Dr. Leslie Edgar (ledgar@uark.edu)
This course is designed to assist agricultural
science teachers and other professionals in designing electronic
curriculum materials, including career development events
(CDEs). The emphasis throughout the course will be to apply
teaching and learning theory in the development of instruction
delivered through electronic media. The goal of the course
is not to make course attendees experts in "programming"
or "theory," but rather to prepare them with the
knowledge and practical skills necessary to deliver curriculum
through a variety of electronic methods. This course will
give course attendees the opportunity to develop electronic
curriculum and CDE materials that may be used time and time
again. Attendees will prepare electronic CDE instructional
modules they can use with their students.
