Students from the Crop, Soil, and Environmental Sciences Department at the University of Arkansas attended the Arkansas Environmental Federation Convention in Hot Springs November 7-9, 2005. Ryan Neal of Rogers and Brittany Kaufman of Hattieville presented a poster detailing community involvment activities of the undergraduate student club. "Thank you for the opportunity to attend the conference," Kaufman said. "I feel like I was exposed to a whole new aspect of Environmental Science."

CSES Faculty Host Progressive Dinner for Students
The Department of Crop, Soil, and Environmental Sciences held their annual progressive dinner on Thursday, October 13. Ten faculty members hosted students in their homes. Sixty undergraduate and graduate students and their guests participated in the event.

• Delta Classic Golf Tournament
Students majoring in crop management and in environmental, soil, and water sciences at the University of Arkansas will have more scholarship opportunities thanks to participants in the sixth annual Delta Classic Scholarship Golf Tournament July 15, 2005, at the Helena Country Club. The tournament raised more than $30,000 to fund scholarships for students in the Department of Crop, Soil, and Environmental Sciences in the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences at the U of A.
