Dr. Jason K. Apple received the Meats Research Award from the American Society of Animal Science at the national meeting held in Indianapolis in July.
Student Athlete Tifanie Silver displays SEC memorabiliaTifanie Silver displaying items commemorating the 75th year of SEC Student Athlete Experience. Items include a watch, an Ipod seeker, and a brief case. Tifanie, a native of Texas, is a graduating senior in Animal Science. She is a 4-year scholarship swimmer and team co-captain. She hopes to attend graduate school in the fall.
Dr. Charles Rosenkrans, Jr., professor of animal science at the University of Arkansas, received the 2008 faculty Gold Medal Award from the office of Post-Graduate Fellowships. Up to six U of A faculty members - nominated by honors directors and selected by a committee that includes the Honors College dean and staff members of the post-graduate fellowships office - are chosen each year for their dedication as mentors to undergraduate students.
