Activities two: Create and role play life as a slave in Arkansas (include social, Political and economic aspects of slavery)
Develop a group acrostic puzzle on the word slavery
Visualize slavery in Arkansas, and write a 1 page analysis about the Video.
Listening and Reading Skills: After reading and listening to lectures/discussions.


The learner will engage in an intellectual exchange on the following questions.
1. Analyze the diet, housing, and clothing of slaves.
2. Discuss the slaves work routine.
3. Describe the physical and mental abuse of slaves.
4. Explain the family life of slaves.
5. Describe ways slaves revolted against planters.
6. Describe the influence of African culture and religion on slaves in Arkansas.
7. Discuss the impact of the Missouri Compromise, Dred Scott Case, and the Nat Turner revolt on slavery in Arkansas.

Assessment: Students will select one of the questions above and write a 3 page

Essay. They will also create a visual to accompany their essay.
