Objective: Students will identify information about Arkansas Confederate regiments during the Civil War.  Students will discuss relative information presented by each group about the assigned Confederate regiments

Set: Ask who would have volunteered for the civil war (either side).  Tell death rates in various Arkansas units.  Ask again.

Materials: Computers with internet access.

Activities: Students will be divided into small groups and assigned Arkansas Confederate Regiments.  Students will spend one class period researching their assigned regiment.  The next class period groups will report their findings to the class.

Closure: Groups' reports of research findings to the class.

Assessment: Group grades will be determined by rubric scoring.
