Thermoluminescence of Stardust particles.  Thermoluminescence provides unique insights into the thermal and radiation history of extraterrestrial materials and into their metamorphic history.  Clean room laboratories are currently under construction that will enable the thermoluminescence of cometary particles collected by the Stardust mission to be measured.

Dan Ostrowski, BS from Carroll College, Wisconsin

2006

Dan is interested in the relationship between meteorites and asteroids and trying to identify the surface composition of asteroids by comparing their reflectance spectra with likely terrestrial analogues.
