Dr. Nancy Jack is
responsible for development and management. She has
owned, trained, bred, and managed horses for 32 years.
From 1974 - 1984 she was also involved in the Brangus
cattle industry. She is a member of the American
Registry of Professional Animal Scientists.

Kathi Jogan

Kathi has
been in the Equine industry for over 25 years in various
capacities. She has managed thoroughbred breeding and
foaling farms and was a licensed trainer and outrider on
race tracks in several states. She taught Equine Courses
at La. Tech University and has shown, started and
trained horses; including race horses. She has taught
both English and Western riding. Kathi is also a member
of the American Registry of Professional Animal
Scientists.
Kathi learned English riding & jumping at the Spanish
Military Riding Academy in Cadiz, Spain.

Laurie Harris

Laurie has been a
graphic artist and web designer since 1997.
She is a master of Photoshop, Front Page, Dreamweaver,
Flash,
Page Maker and MS Applications. Laurie designs the
Equine Program web pages, brochures, newsletters,
manages the marketing campaigns for all fund raisers and
is the editor of the Equine Newsline eNewsletter.

Award winning teen
photographer and the first teenage artist to have a solo
exhibit at the Fayetteville Public Library, Graber was
invited to show his photos after library officials saw
his work on the cover of VOYA, a bimonthly journal for
librarians, educators and other professionals who work
with young adults. Throughout the year Trey
photographs horses and scenes from all our fund raising
events and other activities. Trey's photo journals
are available online at www.equinenewsline.org

Danny grew up on a beef cattle and quarter horse
operation in Northeastern Oklahoma. His experience
includes being a Herdsman for Oklahoma State University,
Lake Carl Blackwell Research Range, Farm Operations
Manager at Virginia Tech, Department of Animal Science,
Blacksburg, VA as well as a cattle facility in Georgia.
He keeps Whitaker Arena and adjacent facilities in top
running condition.

Jana Reynolds

Jana obtained her Master of Science Degree specializing
in Agriculture and Extension Education at the University
of Arkansas. She has been working for the Department of
Animal Science since January 2003. Jana helps put
together events, is a master brainstormer, and in
general helps keep things running smoothly in the Equine
Program office. Jana additionally began working with
Drs. Yazwinski and Tucker in September 2005 in the
Parasitology Lab.

This horse show is
sponsored by the NWA Gaited Horse Club and has benefited
various charities by means of this show for over 33
years. The 3-day show usually features a silent
auction and concession stand. The show features
almost a hundred classes. A portion of the
proceeds benefits the D.E. King Equine Program.

SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT
Florence E. King Scholarship Recipient
Stephanie O'Berg
Stephanie is a sophomore at the
University of Arkansas working towards a degree in
Animal Science with minors in Equine Science & Global
Studies with plans to attend vet school. From Rapid
City, South Dakota, she is the daughter of Steve O’Berg
and Tammi Trotter. Stephanie has earned $44,000 in
academic scholarships and is a member of the U of A
Women’s Club Lacrosse Team, as well as an officer in the
Pre-Vet Club. Stephanie is also a member of Sigma
Alpha sorority and is a Silas Hunt Scholar. Before
becoming a part of the D.E. King Equine program much of
her experience was trail and pleasure riding but through
the program she has now trained and shown two horses.
