Aaron Thornbrugh Horsemanship
Having started hundreds of colts, Aaron, known to his friends as
Mule, has had the opportunity to experience successes and failures
of varying types and degrees. The horsemanship he teaches today is a
culmination of those successes and failures, blending a lifetime of
experiences with traditional vaquero horsemanship principles. He has
been privileged and blessed to spend time with some of the greatest
buckaroos and horsemen in the world.
Mule's focus today is to use his lifetime of experience and study to
help serious horsemen and horsewomen take their horsemanship to
levels beyond the mundane and leave them excited about their
relationship with their horse.
Baroque Equitation with Jose Aviles
Jose Aviles, at the tender age of six,
began training horses and continues to refine and expand the
knowledge passed on to him by his father and grandfather. Jose
enjoys both teaching and entertaining audiences. He is well
respected by his students and the horses he trains.
Jose trains horses and teaches
Vaquero and Baroque Equitation.
He will perform upper level classical dressage movements, such as
the piaffe, which evolved from cavalry movements and training for
the battlefield.
Don Knapp In 1995, I first rode with
Pat Parelli at a clinic in Armstrong, BC, and it changed my life. In
1996, I moved to Colorado and spent the next 3 years studying with
Pat and Linda at their ranch in Pagosa Springs. I received my 3 Star
Rating in Instructorship, Foundation Training and as a Young Horse
Specialist. I have also received Star Ratings in Difficult Horses,
Reining, and Working Cattle. I was an Instructor for Pat Parelli
from the fall of 1996 thru the spring of 2007, when I decided to
better serve the horse community by going on my own.
Moses
Woodson Moses believes that there is
no end to what a person can achieve, if they are equipped with the
proper knowledge. He developed the Crescent A Farms Horsemanship
Program with the idea that learning THE BASICS is most important.
The program is based on the five basics tools that are needed in
every Horse-man-relationship. No matter where you are in your
horsemanship education from the novice to the professional, whether
you're starting colts or correcting problem horses it all starts
with the basics.

Cowboy Mounted Shooting
The Open Range Regulators is an
independent club which formed to serve horsemen wishing to
participate in the sport known as cowboy mounted shooting. Although
the area had several cowboy mounted shooters, Northwest Arkansas did
not have a club or practice locale. Our goal is to provide members,
and horsemen with a love of the old west and cowboys, the expertise
and venues to learn how to participate safely in this fast paced,
high action, dramatical sport.
This club will remain independent of affiliation with any one group.
Our mission is to provide for members a place to practice while
sharing knowledge and camaraderie.
Members participating in the festival
include: Heithe & Tonya Williams and sons, Harry and Barb Short,
Craig Beemer, Sherry and sons, Bruce & Tracy Cheever,
Ryan Smith, Mike & Kristen Maggard, Connie Whitelely, Karie White,
Bob, Kim, & Darcy Redo, Nodie Williams.
