Tommie Turvey the Equine
Extremist
Tommie Turvey has been wowing crowds at rodeos, expos,
festivals and other events most of his life. A
true 'Extremist', Tommie performs Roman Riding, Chariot
Riding, Liberty, Stunt Riding and even jumps through
blazing hoops of fire with his
equine partners. High energy thrills combined with
rocket science horsemanship, Tommie's performance will
amaze the entire family. Come and see Tommie Turvey perform at the

'Frederik
the Great' of Pinnacle Friesians
An almost forgotten treasure out of the Medieval
Manuscripts of time, come the power, elegance, beauty
and nobility of the Friesian Horse. Pinnacle
Friesians is home of FPS, FHANA registeredFrederik,
the magnificent black Friesian Stallion standing at
stud. Very rare and imported from Holland, he is
Pinnacle's Dressage Grand Champion.

FRIDAY
EVENING PROGRAM Friday
evening kicks off the festival
with Tommie Turvey presenting a clinic on trick riding and
trick horse training.
More details about this evenings events will be posted
soon! Tickets for Friday evening's venue is $5.00
per person, children 12 and under are free!
Visit vendors indoors, located in the arena classrooms,
both Friday and Saturday. Vendor booths will open at 6pm
on Friday, the clinic
starts at 7pm in the Pauline Whitaker Animal Science Arena.

PRE-FESTIVAL EVENTS 9:00

Join us early on Saturday to see many of the horses warm
up for the Festival and demonstrations that will entertain
the entire family! Free admission!
TWO
FESTIVAL SHOWS ON SATURDAY
First Show 12:00 NOON
Two exciting shows will be featured in
the Pauline Whitaker Animal Science Arena on Saturday
for the whole family to enjoy. These indoor shows will
feature the amazing Equine Extremist Tommie Turvey, a
champion Friesian stallion Frederick the Great, high
speed drill teams, a stage coach and so much more. Each
show is about 2 1/2 hours and is a thrilling showcase of
the magnificent horse.
Second Show 3:30pm The first show is at NOON and the second at 3:30pm.
Tickets for these shows are $10.00 per seat.
Vendor booths will be open throughout the day in the
arena classrooms.

AND DEMONSTRATIONS
INDOORS Inside
the Pauline Whitaker Animal Science Arena classrooms,
there will be vendors and
educational demonstrations such as a natural hoof care and
saddle building. Be sure and visit the information booths
to learn about the many non-profit horse organizations and
horse clubs in our region.

PARADE OF BREEDS
The Parade of Breeds is a wonderful feature of both of the
Horse Festival shows. You will see beautiful horses of
many breeds: The Gypsy Vanner, Friesian, Arabian,
Andalusian, many Gaited Horse breeds, Mustangs, Mules,
giant Draft Horses, adorable Miniatures to name a few!
From magnificent show horses to superior athletes, the
Parade of Breeds is a must-see. Dozens of breeds will be
represented. To see the Parade of Breeds you must purchase
tickets to one of the Horse Festival shows.

MEET THE BREEDS
This is your chance to get up close to your favorite
breed, talk to the owners, ask questions, and maybe even
pet that special horse that caught your eye during the
show. This exhibit will be set up adjacent to Pauline
Whitaker Animal Science Arena.

The D.E. King Equine Program’s annual
horse festival continues to line up a great schedule of
performers year after year. The festival brought over
4,000 spectators to the Pauline Whitaker Animal Science
Arena in Fayetteville last year. All proceeds from this
event help fund the D.E. King Equine Program at the
University of Arkansas, a predominantly self-funded
program. For more information about the festival or
