First Annual Colt School

University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service
First Annual Colt School

Pauline Whitaker Animal Science Arena
May 15 – 17, 2003

The first annual Colt School is for those individuals that have a 2 year-old horse and want a supervised step by step learning experience for both horse and rider. Our goal is to safely get the young horse saddled and ridden. Participants will leave with a clear plan on how to get their horse started under saddle and in the bridle.

In addition, there is an opportunity for individuals that do not wish to bring a horse, to attend the class as a non-rider.

Cost for horse and rider is $300.00 – includes stall, individual instruction, lunch on Friday and Saturday, and dinner on Friday. Audit cost is $75.00 for full-time registration or $50.00/day for part-time registration (includes planned meals).

Tentative Schedule:

Thursday, May 15
Arrive between 4 and 5:30 p.m. - horses to be stalled in Cattle Barn 1

Help Feed the Abused

The Animal Rescue Site

Help The Animal Rescue Site get enough daily hits to their website to meet their quota of getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals.

It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on "feed an animal in need" for free! This doesn't cost you a thing! Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising. Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know!
