Be apart of a something unique!  Personal Ponies, LTD, is a non-profit child therapy organization.  Find out how you can help this noble organization, and ultimately; a special child.

Here in Arkansas, we’ve taken that mission one step farther.  With the assistance of our area Pet Partners group, we have attained Delta registration for several of our promotional ponies.  We take one show correct Shetland and one pony with disabilities into the local schools and teach a program called, “It’s Okay to be Different.”   These ponies demonstrate a caring and accepting friendship that emphasizes similarities instead of differences.  By sharing an age appropriate book and opening a comfortable dialogue with students, we hope to replace hate and prejudice with tolerance and understanding.  This also enable students to see animals as companions and to grasp the emotional benefits of animal-human relationships.

'Personal Ponies'  teaches children "It is okay to be different".

Personal Ponies is active in the community and appreciates any opportunity to visit with clubs, schools, and civic organizations.

We are  taking applications for our foster program.  It’s a great chance to work one on one with a pony to prepare for placement with a special child.  Special consideration given to 4Hers!!

For more info about this, or any other of our programs please contact Brea Fike (479)544-8697  email: breafike@yahoo.com or Sharon Roberts (479)637-7236 email: brigodun@aol.com

At PERSONAL PONIES, we believe in magic—the magic that happens between a tiny pony and a disabled child. Creating magic in children's lives IS our mission. It's our only mission.

Our non-profit organization (501-C-3) was founded in 1986 by Marianne Alexander, specifically created to benefit disabled children by offering a UK type Shetland pony to love and care for, completely without charge. We are the only organization of this kind in the world. If “the outside of a horse is good for the inside of a man, ” what could be better for the inside of a special child?  It is the privilege of Personal Ponies, LTD., to provide unconditional love in the form of ponies.  We have placed hundreds of ponies with the families of disabled children, and scores of volunteers in almost every state serve in our volunteer program as breeders, sponsors and promoters. We now have 55 breeding farms, 45 stallions standing at stud, about 200 breeding mares, and more than 800 registered ponies. Yet with all this growth, we have hundreds of children waiting for ponies, and the list grows daily.

Got ZIMECTRIN® or RODECTIN 1®? You can help!
Thanks to a special program for non-profit organizations, Farnam Pharmaceuticals gives $1.00 for EACH bar code we send them from the boxes of their worming products, ZIMECTRIN® and RODECTIN 1®. And from now on, ALL proceeds from the Farnam program are going directly into the NEMECKAY RETIREMENT FUND. If you use ZIMECTRIN® or RODECTIN 1®, send all bar codes to help care for our retired ponies.

Rocky Meadow Ranch Open House

Quality Horses for sale, programs and demonstrations, free entertainment, covered wagon rides for kids and adults!

The open house should be a fun day.   Entertainment and educational seminars are planned (see the flyer).  Barbecue and other good food will be available.   Over 40 horses will be on display and many will be for sale.   Disposition and quality are the primary virtues of our breeding program.   There is also very loud color in the paints and excellent size in the quarter horses and paints.   Most of the horses will be 15.5 hands to 16.5 hand at maturity.   We have some yearlings that are already 15.1 hands.  All horses are registered quarter horses or overo paints.  All are riding and easy to handle except for the 2003 crop and they are easy to handle.   All horses will be available to touch and ride with supervision and help as necessary.

The area and location of the event are very scenic.   We are located near the Buffalo River and I believe everyone will enjoy the day.   People interested in quality horses, western pleasure, hunter jumper, trail riding, and many performance areas will find horses which can get the job done for them.

Call 870-743-8409 or rdickson@alltel.net for more information.  See the flyer for directions.

Redneck Definitions 2003

A tornado hits your neighborhood and does a $100,000 worth of  improvement.

You can entertain yourself for more than an hour with a fly swatter.
You burn your yard rather than mow it.
The Salvation Army declines your mattress.
You think a subdivision is part of a math problem.
You have a complete set of salad bowls, and they all say Cool Whip on the  side.
You think a quarter horse is that ride in front of K-Mart.
