Cooke County King (King)
King stands 15.2 ½ hands and
weighs 1200 lbs. As a 4 year old he won 10th in the AQHA
Youth World Cup in Reining. King is suitable for all but the
most novice of riders. With an instructor, he would be
perfect for them too!
King is serviceable sound for light riding or showing and
has no vices, but at 12 years old we don’t recommend that he
continue the extreme sport of reining. In fact, he has
earned the right to be retired to light riding as a
beginner’s show horse, family pleasure horse, trail horse,
lesson horse, or 4-H project horse.
Because he is a gelding, his bloodlines are primarily of
historical interest. But everyone likes to own a well bred
athlete. Cooke County Etc, King’s sire, won many points in
the cutting pen and sired winners of points in both cutting
and reining. In fact they won trucks, trailers, and saddles
too! King has many generations of World Champion Foundation
Quarter Horse performance horses in his pedigree.

King has a smooth,
easy going jog-trot , stands motionless for mounting
(including use of a mounting block) and is easy to catch and
halter in the pasture. King would be an excellent family
pleasure horse, trail horse, lesson horse, or 4-H project
horse. |
