BE AN EQUINE PROGRAM SPONSOR
If you are interested in any of these levels of sponsorship, or have any ideas you would like for us to consider, please contact us.

Sponsorship Levels
The University of Arkansas Equine Program is dependent on donations for the care and up keep of it’s horses. The horses are used to allow the students in the program to have ‘hands on’ experience, and to apply what they have learned in the classroom. The students learn how to properly and safely groom and handle horses, as well as gain experience breeding, foaling, breaking and training horses of various ages and breeds. In addition, the Equine Center offers seminars in numerous horse related topics. We are very grateful for any donations that are received. All donations are tax deductible. The Equine Department receives the proceeds from a number of annual activities that are held at the Pauline Whitaker Arena, located adjacent to the Equine Center. The activities include the Equine Center’s Annual Horse Festival, the annual Ozark Charity Horse Festival, the Annual Razorback Roundup Horse Sale, and the bi-annual Horse Lovers’ Day Camp as well as numerous educational seminars and expositions. Below is a list of the various levels of sponsorship that are available for individuals, or companies. Please keep us in mind if you would be interested in any of these sponsorships.

The Nettleship Society
Mae Nettleship has been involved in the horse industry in Northwest Arkansas for many years. She is a human pathologist, and was one of the first women physicians that graduated of John’s Hopkins University. Mrs. Nettleship’s generous donations have allowed us to get the Equine Center up and running! The Nettleship Society entails donating $1,000.00 per year for five years. For this generous donation, members are given a chair in the arena with their name, VIP parking, and free entrance to all equine events held at the arena. There is a yearly dinner and meeting at one of the grandest homes in the area!

Gold Sponsor
A donation of $1,000.00 per year enables a company to become a gold sponsor. The company can then be allowed to advertise during the Horse Festival (anticipated attendance in 2001 - 4,000 +) in the arena lobby, and can have it’s banner prominently displayed at all horse events held in the Pauline Whitaker Arena. In addition, a gold sponsor will receive acknowledgment as a Sponsor on the Equine Center’s web page, and in our news letters (circulation is 2,000 + horse enthusiasts of all persuasions from Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas). Sponsorship will show up in many other places as well -- on the placard that we display at Horse Council events, etc. We have a limited amount of spaces available!

Silver Sponsor
A donation of $750.00 per year enables a company to obtain the same privileges as a gold sponsor, with one exception. A vendor’s booth, instead of an area in the lobby, will be available for your use at the Horse Festival. We will list your company as a sponsor at all of our events, and in all of our publications as well!

Seminar or Lecture Sponsor
Any individuals or companies that wish to either help sponsor a seminar, or provide a knowledgeable lecturer would be greatly appreciated. This year we hosted a very successful Reproduction Seminar which we plan to make a yearly event. We have received interest from the community for holding various seminars in the future - topics will include Sale and Show Preparation, Foaling, Equine Nutrition, Herd Health, and various forms of training techniques, to mention a few. Our goal is to host seminars with cutting edge information to best help the students, as well as people in our 4-State area to care for their horses.
