People Involved

It is important to set the stage for your module and to introduce each person involved. Thus, here we would introduce those individuals involved in garbage and recycling endeavors in preparation for their interview later in the web module. A follow-up activity might be to have students read statements and then have them identify who would make such a statement. For example,

"I get up every morning at 4:00 to get to work on time."

This would obviously be the garbage man or woman. Have students print out this list and then come to class with their responses so that you can verify their comprehension and can carry on a discussion in relation to their newfound material.
