Specialized Vocabulary

In this segment, it would be ideal to present the primary words (in the target langauge) of your module with an appropriate image. It would be ideal, as well, to incorporate the word into a sentence as seen below. Not all images are present in this display but in your work, you should be consistent and include images for all vocabulary.

This is the International symbol for recycling.

Many apartments have dumpsters where people place their trash for pickup.

Recycling bins are used to store recyclable items for pick up each week.

We use pink garbage bags for our household trash.

We use regular garbage bags for our yard waste.

The garbage truck comes by every week to collect our garbage.

The garbage man loads the garbage bags into the truck.

We recycle many glass objects such as bottles and jars.

Plastic items with specific numbers such as one are two are recyclable.

Tin cans and aluminum cans must be clean before they are recycled.

Newspapers should be bundled together before recycling.

Cardboard boxes must be collapsed before placing them in the recycling bin.

All of our garbage ends up at the local land fill.

These people are picking up garbage in the park.

They are dropping the cans into the recycling bin.

The man is taking out the garbage.

The man is carrying the garbage out to the curb.
